HACCP regulations mean that manufacturers of foodstuffs are obliged to monitor the raw materials they use by screening. The DA cyclone screener permits adaptation of the screening parameters to the material being screened. In addition, extraction devices facilitate inspection and cleaning of the machines.

Hygienic design versions of the screeners are also available. To an increasing extent, metal detectors are installed after the screening processes in order to separate out metals. These can be integrated both in downpipes and also in pneumatic conveying systems. However, it should be borne in mind that a sufficiently long distance must be provided in order to gate out the impurities.
