Density and Sound Velocity Sensors

The process density sensors are available in three types: the high-performance density sensor series L-Dens 7000 for demanding applications and highest accuracy; L-Dens 3300 for low flow rates and standard accuracy; and the OEM module L-Dens 2300 for integration into systems or instruments. The new sound velocity sensors from the same manufacturer – the fork-type L-Sonic 5100 and the tube-type L-Sonic 6100 – enable accurate and robust concentration measurement of two-component mixtures. They provide stable measurements due to low thermal inertia and high tolerance to bubbles. Combination of a new density sensor with a sound velocity module results in the new L-Com 5500 instrument with small sensor dimensions for high accuracy measurements on three-component mixtures. The sensors have applications in the petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, ethanol, and beverage industries.

The new Pico 3000 process instrumentation controller launched together with the new sensor generation is a high-performance transmitter which transforms the new generation sensors into stand-alone solutions. Data management directly at the sensor is made possible by appropriate software and/or the optional high-quality display.
