United States Regulations Governing Aseptic Processing

Strict regulations apply to all domestically produced and imported low-acid
canned foods sold in the USA. The principal regulators are the FDA and
the USDA, who is primarily responsible for meat and meat products. All regulations and filing forms are available at US government web sites and the
FDA is always open and willing to work with a processor at any stage of
process design.
